How do I get rid of hard to scrape green algae?
I have a 29 gallon glass aquarium … I know how to avoid Algea so please reply do that … Also I have a Chinese algae eater algae, but was told that only eats "kelp" I have a algae scraper Wall Mart, but it is only loose particals new … I know I use it every time you clean but the fact is I did and now there are algae stuck on the glass. i do not have in the back (in unpleasant reality in his back), but the front has some points in the thickness of the algae and I need to go. That hard green spot algae is natural kind in the tank. It is there because you did something wrong or not clean enough. It is very common in tanks with bright lights. Since you have a glass tank you can remove with a razor blade. I get it on my acrylic tank and only remove it with my fingers every time the gravel trap. I do not know about steel wool, which never tried. I would be too worried about it scratching the tank for risk. Good luck!
