How to sell your old box for most Macbook
This entry is my personal experience, I wanted to share with all Apple portable fans want to update their MacBook or MacBook Pro with a newer model and reduces the damage that will update their portfolios.
Towards the end of the year, I met die for the Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz 13 "MacBook Unibody out last October. It is not particularly new model, however, a major upgrade to my 13 "MacBook that meets all my picture editing / video, browsing the Internet and other needs. I also like the new design.
Price monohull this model is still about $ 800 – $ 1,000 depending on where you buy it. I do not want to spend more than $ 600, though. Unfortunately, Apple does not offer any sort of commerce "in" programs. So I sold my old MacBook to raise the remaining money.
I decided to check the Internet for ideas. All forums are filled with stalls of advice on eBay and Craigslist. (Come to think of these two increasingly facing the need to sell something.)
Craigslist
Idea:
- MacBook locally List
- Get the buyer to pick it up and give you the money you want
- No fees, no delivery and apparently uncomplicated
Reality:
- You get tons of calls from people offering to help you sell your MacBook for a "quick and reasonable" rates
- Receive bids that are ridiculously low as you requested
- You have to re-post your ad every two days, therefore, not be lost among all the new messages posted every hour. It is difficult to replace, too: you need to edit your ad each time, so it looks like craigslist software again, otherwise it will be blocked for being too close to their closer.
eBay
Idea:
- List MacBook (or any laptop, desktop, car, etc.) for a small fee.
- Get sold (minimal fee again), they are paid (if you use PayPal, which is now required to pay another to pay)
- Laptop ship to your buyer (finding suitable packaging materials, shipping and payment, be sure to get Your shipping insurance)
Reality
- The costs are not small at all: between eBay and PayPal is 15% -20% of the price received. So if I asked $ 410 for my MacBook, I walk with $ 320 – $ 340
- To use the dollar more for your MacBook (or any other computer Laptop / PC) must be in good condition, with lots of software installed, with all original manuals (Everybody does manuals and original packaging)
- There is always a threat ebayscam
Do not put the original box or manuals. I found the recovery disks and use them to reformat the hard drive and do a fresh install, so the new owner would not inherit all my personal items: the process really time consuming.
I New MacBook on eBay for $ 600. I thought it would be possible to cover the cost, insurance and packing costs shipping and leave me with about $ 450. Exactly what I was looking for considering my MacBook has seen better days, however, continues to function properly.
EBay Results
I had about 4 or 5 e-mails "Business", asked if he could send in Nigeria (can not these people somewhere different?)

- Craigslist – lost time (except if you really contacted by an honest person who really loves your laptop)
- EBay – wasting time and money. We sell toys for children, historical documents, but not portable. Unfortunately, this company seeks to to attract more buyers close your eyes in all types of offenders and will be charged for its high vis.

My boyfriend has a birthday in a month and a half. I have no idea what to look for. This is a movie fanatic crazy for the best and worst films ever. It is a great film. It's your life. Help me name my new pipe!?
I have this pipe hookah a couple weeks ago and I can not decide anything. It is quite small with a background light brown with gold flowers painted on it and a piece of wood, very elegant, could pass for somkething Turkish or Albanian, or just very vintage …. any ideas? PS I like the name of my pipes after kistorical PPL, so if you know anyone who would be fine. If not that's fine too.
I think we should make room, the light, hold it and think about this answer on your own, is his piece, do not leave a strange name that will come to you on your own! Sounds like a good piece!
