Carpets can be used for a variety of purposes – ranging from traditional floor coverings, for blankets, wall hangings, table coverings or stored for purposes investment.
Where carpet is used will largely determine their life, from a rug used for floor covering in a traffic area heavy, obviously, will be subject to greater wear and tear than a rug that is used as a wall hanging.
Here are the different ways you you can use your Persian Rug:
1. Using your Oriental carpet as a floor covering
This is the most common use is important to choose the carpet suitable for the right circumstances. A blanket with a lot heavier are better suited to areas where they will be subjected to frequent foot traffic. The size of the carpet is also important. When buying a rug that will be used on the floor, not intended to cover the entire floor, but is to be used as an ornament on the floor as a framework around the carpet to make sure that at least a couple of inches, but a meter or two, are showing all over the carpet.
Carpets on the ground will can be used in hallways, where they form a colorful welcome to owners and guests. A ground floor lounge carpet receives a large amount of traffic and therefore should be selected for durability. Research shows that the carpets, such as Hamadan, Ardabil Meshkin or going to last very well. Carpets to be used in the hallways should be turned and cleaned regularly.
stair carpet should also be carefully chosen because it also get a lot of traffic. Although stair carpet should be fastened securely in place, glue and nails should never be used to keep the rug in place, as this causes damage and reduce the value of the carpet. It is better to use wood or metal stair rods.
Oriental rugs can also be used on the floor in the rooms and other rooms and once more, depending on the amount of expected traffic, a rug-resistant cotton to be used for heavy traffic areas, while a more delicate Old carpet or silk can be used for areas not frequented often.
2. Carpets and rugs
Rugs can also show your splendor in the wall. If the carpet is too heavy, however, should rather be used as wall hanging since its weight might strain the fabric. Old carpets (Antique rugs) that have seen a lot of wear can be used for upholstery, carpets and rugs, carpets and silk paintings that are shown as in reflected light. Silk rugs such as Qom, Tabriz Ishafan and work as well as tapestries.
3. Carpets in bed or table
flat weave kilims would work well for this purpose, as will smaller antique rugs that have a lot thinner. Remember that if a carpet is used as a table covering, if heavy ornaments are placed he might crush the weave and the ornament should be moved periodically to avoid leaving a permanent bleeding. Vases with flowers should also be used with caution as it can be dangerous due to water leakage and spillage.
