Question of sewing! Put a patch over a hole, hand-made hole!?
I want to try something, but need guidance on how to maintain fabric in place. I cut small squares in jeans and put 100% cotton (something like hooded sweatshirt material) under which, for display in the outside of the jeans. Not a very big piece maybe 1-1 1 / 2 inches and only four holes, probably. Now I sew the pieces of colored yarn (color of piece of cotton?) And I can put something on the cotton fabric as well? What jeans fray material automatically split location? I hope this makes sense! Any help would be greatly appreciated!
It can sew with thread of what ever color you want. it just depends on what you want to display As. If you want to mix, then use the same color. If you want it to stick a little later, a different color. You need not put anything in the framework cotton. I did not have when I put the patch on his trousers. The jean material rubs a little, but good enough if you do not need to fray a lot. I hope this helps
