yes I would say the best places to go antique furniture would be small old towns. they are usually rich in history and really proud of preserving antiquities. new larger cities are really in the modern scene. you also have to pay an arm and a leg large cities. I would suggest the search (and this is from my own experience) from Oregon Utah Washington Dakotas (State) of Kentucky Southern Ohio are places that I personally I bought tons of beautiful antique pieces … good luck
