Tribal or nomadic rugs are produced by nomadic tribes and semi-nomads whose lifestyles have traditionally revolved around breeding sheep and weaving. The carpet products are now similar to rugs produced centuries ago.

Nomadic tribes use rugs for more flooring. Also used as bags, seats and home furniture. These rugs are very popular today because of their bright colors and primitive designs.

Some most popular models of tribal rugs:

1. Gabbeh – these rugs are best known for its variety of colorful patterns and simple geometric patterns. Usually there is no sense of balance or symmetry in Gabbeh rugs. The weaver must include any design, pattern and colors they love. Gabbeh rugs are very popular in the west, because of their brilliant design.

2. Shiraz – The designs of these rugs are very simple and geometric. They typically include geometric motifs often with large diamond-shaped medallions, small animals or plants can also be considered parts of the field. Colors include brown, rust, beige, navy or black, with contours.

3. Lori – Lori rugs typically have bright colors and vibrant. These carpets often have traditional floral patterns, geometric but they are too. These rugs were not originally intended to be sold, but means that the practical value of dowry items, such as floor coverings, blankets, storage bags, saddle blankets, and the assurance family against future hard times.

3. Qashquai – The Qashqai rugs have very warm and magical designs. Typical colors include terra cotta, taupe, and navy. Most of the rugs produced by nomadic Qashgai are marketed within the ancient city of Shiraz.
