The Naghsh-e Jahan Square (Imam Square) built by Shah Abbas I the Great in the early 17th century, surrounded on all sides by monumental buildings linked by a series of arcades two floors, the Royal Mosque, South East Lotfollah mosque of Sheikh, the Grand Bazaar Qeysariye Ali Palace Northwest Qapu Lofty. They are an impressive testimony at the social and cultural life in Persia during the Safavid era.
Pasargadae was the first capital of the dynasty of the Empire Achaemenid, founded by Cyrus II the Great, in the heart of Fars, the homeland of the Persians in the sixth century BC. Its palaces, gardens and the mausoleum of Cyrus are outstanding examples of the first phase of the Achaemenid art and architecture, but also a testimony Persian civilization.
Citadel of Bam (6 to 4th.BC). It was the largest adobe building in the world, being at the crossroads of important routes known for commercial production of silk and cotton. The existence of life in the oasis was based on the underground irrigation canals, tunnels, of which Bam has preserved some of the first attempts in Iran.

Zoroastrian fire temple Takht-e Soleiman9 called the Throne of Solomon): The archaeological site of Takht-e Suleiman, in north-western Iran, is situated in a valley in a region volcanic mountains. The site includes the principal Zoroastrian sanctuary partly rebuilt in the Ilkhanid (Mongol) period (Century 13), and a temple of the Sasanian period (Ages 6 and 7) dedicated to Anahita. The site has an important symbolic meaning. Bisotun is located in an old trade route linking the Iran plateau with Mesopotamia and features remains from prehistory to the median, monuments Achaemenid, Sassanian, and Ilkhanid periods.principal of this archaeological site is the bas-relief and cuneiform inscription ordered by Darius I the Great, when he ascended the throne of the Persian Empire, 521BC.The bas-relief depicting Darius with a bow as a sign of sovereignty, and treading on the chest of a person lying on his back before him. Waterfalls Shushtar, historic hydraulic system, registered as a masterpiece of human creative genius can be traced back to Darius the Great, 5th century BC It was the creation of two diversion canals Main Karun River, one of which, the channel is still using Gargar water supply of the city Shushtar through a series of tunnels that feed water to the mills. It forms a spectacular cliff with waterfalls in a river downstream. The Armenian Monastic Ensembles in Iran, north-west, consists of three monastic ensembles of the Armenian Christian faith: St. Thaddeus, St. Stephen's Chapel Dzordzor. These buildings – the oldest of which, St Thaddeus, dates 7th century – are examples of outstanding universal value Armenian architecture and decorative traditions. About the Author
