Origin Persian cat breed

There is a beautiful legend that the Persian cat was created by a wizard, a spark that jumped fire, the glow of a distant star and the gray smoke. I would say that this legend describes fairly accurately the appearance and temperament of the Persian cat but the real story of the Persian cat breed is not less interesting or less mysterious.

So how the mutation occur as long hair in a domestic cat? None of their wild counterparts gene for long hair. Well, if the snow leopard and lynx they have a coat and because of conditions environmental habitat.

It is rather difficult to investigate the origins of long-haired cats, but it is more likely to be founded in Persia, now called Iran. Here Pietro della Valle has several beauties long haired cat to Italy in 1620. And a year later, the scientist and naturalist Nicolas-Claude Fabri Peiresc has long-haired cats as Angora (now Ankara in Turkey) France. When the first long-haired cats appeared in England (now called “the second home of the Persians) who have been called” French cats.

It is unclear if these cats were one and the same race. Today it is recognized that there were several breeds long-haired cats in the East. Angoras have been described as mild, light and medium-sized enterprises active animals, while Alfred Edmund Brehm been described Angoras with long hair and big cat in size and awkward. He also noted that the Angora cats are gray and blue in southern Siberia.

It is not easy to answer the question of why animals Hot Asian countries have long hair, while Mother Nature usually equipped with long hair for the animals of North severe.

Several versions on the origin of long-haired cats. Some believe that among the ancestors of the Persian cat breed were not long-haired cats Siberia while first came into East Asia and small, and only then were brought to Western Europe.

Other believe that long hair was a mutation that happened to a cat hair short in the East, and subsequently maintained in the process of domestication and kind of selection – if the cats came into Europe and Siberia were aborigineous in Eastern Europe.

The third theory rooted in the phenotypic differences between the Persians and other cats. This theory suggests that chunky body with a large head-set ears, wide circles refer to Pallas cat (Felis manul), also known as Manul – wild cat that lives in Central Asia and has fairly long hair, round face, flat eyes and ears low on the head. However, recent research refutes this theory.

Such are the various theories of Persian cat, but anyway, they all point to Iran, Turkey and Afghanistan and the Persian cat homelands.

England is rightly called the second home Persians, and British fans that have been breeding breeds cat cats on purpose (and especially – Persian cat breeds) in the 19th century. Even if this is when the long-haired cats began to differentiate into Turkish Angora (long flexible body, silky but thinner layer, large ears pointy) and Persian cats (solid, large round head and small ears), as a matter of fact that these cats were called blue last Persian and all the rest were simply called “long hair” cats. Around 50 colors of cats with long hair was considered a race hand. Even today, long hair, Persian cats in England is not actually called “Persian”, but rather, each variation color is assigned a separate breed of cat. In addition, the official decree cat fan club British on this issue was published in 1910, the British still the regardless of race.

Persian cats came to America in the eighties of the 19th century and soon became a very popular breed of cat. Unlike the British clubs in the United States all color variations of long-haired cats have been attributed to a breed of cat – the cat Persian. “It are many variations of color Persian cats, Persian cats, but are limited to the following colors: solid, parti shadow and smoke, tabby, bicolor.

Today more than 150 variations of the breed of cat Persian cat and contemporary thanks to the efforts of many breeders, is a work of art, including other breeds of cats. New Age of Persian cats are very different from their ancestors. Persian cats such as the “old” had a narrow face, changes color was not as rich and not the coat was so thick and delicious. Contemporary Persian cat could have its layer of 10 centimeters. We could say that the contemporary Persian cat is the result of selective breeding cat breeders from different countries. Probably because there are several Persian breed standards and some functionality has not yet been decided.

Firstly, how to start half of the 20th century, American cat breeders have been efforts to enhance the specificity of the Persian race – they were trying to raise a cat, even more massive, short body, round head, flat nose and other. Consequently, a new variant – Extreme Persian (or watched Face Persian) – emerged. Kittens were born the first of these Red and Tabby Persians in 1920-s. Although veterinarians believe that the extreme manifestation of these characteristics is detrimental to Animal Health (especially regarding their sinuses and breathing), and the fact that, despite the British fans breeding cat stance against such extreme Persians are very popular in the United States and several European countries.

Contemporary Persian cat became the ancestor of a new breed – exotic cat – A race shorthair cat who has all the characteristics of the breed of Persian cat, with the exception of the length of hair. exotic cat is a hybrid with lovely temperament and excellent physical condition. The breed was created by the American cat breeders in 1960-s. FIFe (Federation International Feline) recognized exotic cat breed in 1984. short shiny coat (even more than other breeds of cats with short hair), but impressive exotic cats do not cause problems with preparation.

Myself, as the man I love, I am a Christian and my parents never objected before, but now they are saying that I am not allowed to marry him, I must marry a married man, Persian or not at all, and my family rejects this act. I always said that love is The most important thing and nothing comes out above it, but now that my time has come, they refuse me. What should I do or say, how can I make my full realistic parents realize that this is true, that love must come above religion?
