comb head lice: A Brief History
If you think that head lice comb is a modern invention, then consider two times. For centuries and even thousands of years people have had head lice and lice combs have been used since ancient times. It there is evidence of this throughout the world, and here is a brief history of lice combs.
It is estimated that the appearance of head lice combs coincides with the invention of regular comb, about 9500-12 500 before Christ. The old bone combs were made of wood or ivory.
