What is the best way to wash / clean a wool blanket handmade cigar?

It's one of those beautiful highlands of Guatemala, and now unfortunately has fleas.

Well, the best way is to send to the cleaners …. But for do-it-yourself approach. Remember this important note: Never use water hot you can stand to touch, or red (drying) You can hand wash this in the bathtub with a little mild detergent (suggested liquid detergent washing dishes by hand.) The soapy water will drown the little buggers if you keep it submerged for 30 minutes or more …… Rinse with clean cold water in the bathtub, on several occasions. Lotsa tightening. Or, you can hang on the outside line and have a garden hose to it – this makes a great good job clarifying the hose from the top below – and helps to flush out the dead fleas and eggs. To dry – put on the clothing line (if available), this is the way it is implemented in the country of origin. After cotton is dry you can use the air cycle of the dryer ONLY to shake the dead fleas. The air. means-NO HEAT. Note fleas lay eggs that do not drown .. that hatch. Significance of the project would have to be repeated in three or four days. So think about that dry cleaning on the way …… good luck.
