Has anyone done a quilt / blanket of fine silk and polyester fabrics?

I have been asked to do a cover with two beds / quilt "Hawaii" mu-mu tissues. I figured it would cotton fabrics floral prints. When he reached the box containing a dozen caftans flow and a series of fine silk scarves such as polyester, all in spectacular views. I can not imagine web like a bedspread. Has anyone worked with this type of fabric for a quilt? How would stabilize the job? Thanks for all the entries.

That stuff is hard to quilt, you will have to be stabilized, and the rest is a pain working with a project of the quilt. I returned the materials and the commission.
